Small park suited to skateboarding

Park overview

• Park opening times limited with gates being closed at sunset in winter months.
• Park is small, not much of the available space was utilised.
• Litter including cigarette butts found across the whole site.
• Floodlighting either doesn’t work or not switched on, park opening hours could potentially be extended if remedied.
• Would like to see the park extended to include large bowls, spine and street sections to provide more options.

There are many sites listing skateparks at a national or regional level but seem to be slow to show new or updated information. As a resident of Swindon I wanted to document what’s available locally and add my view of the facilities available.

There’s not much in the way of facilities to ride in Swindon. The hope is that if what’s available is documented we can push for a park geared towards more advanced users.

I am a BMXer, this will no doubt give me a different perspective but I would be happy to take input from other disciplines for a more rounded description of the reviews.
